Organization: A Financial Services Dealer

Project: Define, select and implement selected CRM system.

Work Included: 

  • Define user needs
  • Obtain client selection criteria while providing additional expertise for determining best system
  • Analyzed and assessed prospective CRMs for alignment for needs and fit with selection criteria
  • Put forward recommendation including implementation plans
  • Implemented new CRM for firm
  • Completed user training

Timeframe: Two (2) months

Outcome: CRM successfully implemented for company on time and within budget with full user uptake of system.

Private Capital Raising Assessment

Organization: Private Factoring Firm

Project: Assessment of capital raising by firms competing for same capital investment. 

Work Included: 

  • Detailed review of competitive investment offering documents 
  • Compare/ contrast with client's capital raising methods
  • Report summarizing competitor offerings
  • Findings and recommendations for client offerings improvement

Timeframe: Two (2) months

Outcome: Recommendations presented and accepted by clients for inclusion in future offering documents.

Feasibility Assessments for Non-Profit Organizations' Projects

Organization: Two Separate Non-Profit Organizations

Project: Feasibility assessment in two parts - 

  1. Amalgamation of donation centres within city
  2. New social enterprise offering

Work Included: 

Amalgamation Review

  • Document current process flows of both operations
  • Map combined facility layout
  • Collect volume metrics of goods processed through each operation
  • Assess staffing needs and cultural fit of combined operation
  • Set out financial implications via proforma financials defining monetary benefits
  • Document feasibility results in report and present to respective executives and/ or boards

Social Enterprise

  • Determined marketplace consumer
  • Developed operation costs, space needs, staffing requirements, environmental benefits, revenue gains and social impacts of enterprise
  • Built financial proforma considering current product selling alternatives versus proposed social enterprise
  • Reported findings of feasibility for social enterprise

Timeframe: Four (4) months

Outcome: Feasibility reports presented to respective organizations' board/ executives for determination of implementation - 

  • Donation centers amalgamation was determined feasible but with caveats related to clarity of operation's oversight however did not proceed due to external circumstances.
  • Social enterprise was found to be feasible; project was deferred for 18 months and has since been successfully launched with continuing operations providing positive social and environmental impacts within the community.

Business Feasibility Assessments: Restaurant/ Catering/ Cafe/ Daycare

Organization: A Non-Profit Indigenous Society

Project: Define and assess four prospective social enterprises within not-for-profit facility to produce revenues that would support social offerings.

Work Included: Detailed research into Restaurants, Catering, Cafes and Day Cares

Industry data including key aspects of -

  • Space;
  • Equipment;
  • Expense lines;
  • Staffing; and
  • Margins.

Markets for competitive offers - 

  • Nearby; and
  • City wide.

Development of proforma financials for each social enterprise including - 

  • Build-out costs; 
  • Operational costs; and
  • Revenue projections - Self-operated or leased to 3rd parties to operate.

Timeframe: Four (4) months

Outcome: Feasibility was established with report submitted to client for use in future building development.
